Introducing the sub 250g Mini Sandpiper. It’s my favorite plank in the fleet due to its incredible maneuverability and durability. Construction consists of a EPS wing, a laser-cut balsa fuselage, laser-cut balsa elliptical wingtips and a TPU nose cone to absorb a head on collision with little or no damage. This is a custom built plane that includes the servos, motors, speed controllers, 5V regulator, wiring and counter-rotating propellers.  All that is needed to compete this build is a receiver, a battery and FPV equipment if FPV is your style.

The Mini Sandpiper advantages include wing mounted twin tractor motor design with prop wash over the control surfaces for improved control response, the ability to land without prop strikes, and a hollow fuselage with a battery hatch for all your gear including FC and FPV gear. Don’t forget to try differential thrust to make use of the Sandpiper yaw capabilities as it’s a real blast to swing that tail around an obstacle with the yaw stick. Great for a quadcopter pilot wanting to try a wing.

Note: The product image is the plane you will receive.  The wing tips will be removed from wing center section, the wing will be unbolted from the fuselage and propellers removed for ease of shipping.  Assembly will include bolting the wing to the fuselage and taping the wing tips and tail on and pressing on the propellers onto the motor shafts.  I use small strips of Scotch gift-wrapping tape to attach the wing tips and tail on.
